Tone2 – Gladiator 2.0 (VST, AU) [MAC]

Year of issue: 2009
Version: 2.0
Developer: Tone2
System requirements: OSX> 10.3

Description: Juicy, multifunctional, synthesizer with a great interface. New type of synthesis: Advanced Harmonic Content Morphing (HCM) Synthesis, as well as well-known methods FM, AM, PWM, Sync, Phase modulation, Vocoder, Waveshaping, Distortion, Supersaw, Additive sounds, Resynthesis sounds, Phase distortion, Sample playback. 30208 ready-made waveforms. 18 oscillators per voice. 40 different stereo filters. 20 effects. 162x oversampling. Programmable ARP & Step LFO / Trancegate. Synchronization with BPM. Microtuning. Equalizer. Modular switching.

The Gladiator virtual instrument uses the Harmonic Content Morphing synthesis method to dynamically change the harmonics of the oscillators. The instrument is based on a set of standard waveforms (sawtooth, triangular, pulsed) and complex resynthesized waves (trumpet, organ, piano, voice), each of which is a wavetable with 256 spectrum options. To change the spectrum, you can use morphing, frequency, amplitude, phase and pulse-width modulation, oscillator synchronization, wave shaping. Additive synthesis (512 harmonics) is also supported.

Instrument polyphony 64 voices. There are four oscillators for wavetable playback (up to 18 oscillators per voice when using unison, 74 wavetable options), an oscillator for playing samples (162x oversampling is used to protect against aliasing), a filter (40 types), two LFOs (plus a common LFO), programmable arpeggiator and step LFO, modulation matrix, distortion (seven types), two effects processors (20 algorithms: reverb, delay, chorus, etc.), 512-band vocoder, IQM (intelligent micro tuning) … It is possible to synchronize the parameters with the tempo. Bit depth 64 bits, sampling rate up to 192 kHz.
