The RS124 Compressor Plug-In provides authentic valve compressor emulations that were introduced in the 1960s and have been consistently used in studios for over a decade. This is the sound of the Abbey Road 60s! Their warm sonic personality and characteristic features such as the ‘HOLD’ function make this compressor ideal for recording, mixing and mastering. Each module is exclusively the handiwork of Abbey Road Studios.
The RS124 Compressor Plug-In developed by the engineers of the legendary London studio “Abbey Road”. This plug-in simulates with exceptional fidelity the “classic” sound characteristic of all albums recorded at Abbey Road and released by the record label EMI in the 60s. The “EMI” sound owes much of its origin to the analog equalizers RS127 and RS135, the circuitry of which was once developed and implemented in hardware by the studio’s technical staff. The need to develop such external devices arose due to the limited frequency equalization capabilities of the REDD remotes that were used at Abbey Road in those legendary years. Of course, both equalizers were heavily used during the recording of all the popular bands of that period, including they shaped the sound of all the Beatles albums. Thanks to physical modeling, it was possible to fully reproduce all the characteristics of analog circuits.
