Description:
The T-RackS is a new type of real-time software sound processor that the developers claim will provide sound performance comparable to that of a Hi-End mastering station. A set of four sound software modules designed exclusively for mastering, including a six-band stereo parametric equalizer, a classic mastering stereo tube compressor, a multi-band mastering stereo limiter, and an adjustable signal output section.
All effects modules emulate classic analog sound and have been specially designed to work on the final mix with all the controls designed for mastering. As a VST plug-in, the program connects to many music production software including Cubase, Logic, Sound Forge, FL Studio and more.
Many novice musicians, mixing their compositions in a multitrack editor, are perplexed: the recording turned out to be quieter than from CDs, the sound is thin, and all things sound somehow different. What’s the matter? The point is in mastering, or rather, in its absence. Mastering is the final stage of processing mixed stereo material before recording onto an audio CD. Its goal is to get the best possible quality from the original mix. This is done using an equalizer, compressor and limiter. In addition, mastering is necessary for the correct balance and creation of a holistic perception of the album, which implies the same loudness and frequency characteristics of all compositions. When mastering, it is extremely important to use quality amplifiers and monitors. Accuracy of audio control is key to successful mastering. T-RackS is a program with which you can simply and effectively bring the quality of your compositions to an acceptable level.
