DrMS Spatial Processor – Spatial processor DrMS, designed to manipulate a stereo signal. The processor is based on MS-processing, but the stereo signal is split not into two components, but into four components (Mid, Side, Focus and Field), each of which has a resonant high-pass filter, high-pass equalizer and a sample-by-sample delay. In addition to the usual MS-encoding and decoding, the plug-in can be used to change the spatial image (zoom in, add depth, change the width) and eliminate problems with mono compatibility. Automatic level compensation possible.

DrMS spatial processor version 4 features:

  1. NEW Native 32-bit & 64-bit VST/AU/RTAS plugin for OSX & Windows. Avid AAX support is planned.
  2. NEW Much lower CPU use – same high quality sound
  3. NEW Built in preset management system – exchange presets between hosts and platforms
  4. NEW Improved GUI
  5. MS encoding & decoding
  6. Spatial audio processing: Zoom in, add Depth, change Width
  7. Mastering grade filters
  8. Resonant HPF, LPF and Delay on each of the four processing sections
  9. Feedback circuit for reverb creation and special effects
  10. Full mono compatibility
  11. Autogain circuit for easy level matched A/B comparision
  12. Smart MCU control surface layout
  13. Wide range of applications for mixing, mastering and post production, going from simple MS encoding/decoding, over stereo field and depth enhancement, to fixing mono compatibility issues and more
  14. Presets developed by Dylan ‘3D’ Dresdow (Black Eyed Peas, Michael Jackson, Usher) and Emre Ramazanoglu (Shakira, Duffy, Alexander McQueen)
  15. Authorisation with iLok (v4.0) or with choice of using iLok or Challenge/Response (v3.3)
