Description: Stutter Edit was created by iZotope in collaboration with composer and musician Brian Transeau (BT). Stutter Edit’s capabilities revolve around an innovative real-time sampling engine that allows producers, musicians and performers to manipulate audio data live. It cuts sound material into small pieces and rearranges them into crisp rhythmic effects, allowing you to reproduce a technique that would take many hours in the studio. The result can be a trembling, looping effect, or a more sophisticated one: the melody can be decomposed into a syncopated rhythmic pattern, and the drums can be decomposed into a pitch-shifted arpeggio. Stutter Edit balances with an elegant MIDI scheme that makes adding effects easier, as if you were playing a regular instrument.
