Named after the Greek patron god of dreams, the Morpheus is an aluminum musical percussion instrument created by the US-based firm Freenotes. Notes can be set as you wish, as each metal bracket is attached to a specific resonator. The tool is available in several versions; we sampled a two and a half octave version with a “bass wing” option that gives you a 6 note range. Morpheus has the clearest sound we’ve ever heard. 40 patches in total, 3 layers per beat.
