Description:
Electronic music producers (especially Hip-Hop) have long known that classical samplers (such as Akai and E-MU)
had their own character and sound: they added “sand” and “colored” samples and loops, which they played, making them
“fat” and helping to sit well in the mix. This coloration of the sound was associated with coding techniques, lower
the sampling rate and bit depth, and the conversion circuits used by these first samplers. Decimort
recreates this coloration and adds that magic that vintage samplers added to any loop, any bass line,
or any sound played through them! On the one hand, Decimort is an emulation of a vintage sampler, and on the other –
the perfect bit-crusher with a filter that can be tweaked to the extreme for dramatic results.
